Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills

When Claudia accidentally eavesdrops on the epic breakup of Paige and Iris, the it-couple at her school, she finds herself in hot water with prickly, difficult Iris. Thrown together against their will in the class production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, along with the goofiest, cutest boy Claudia has ever known, Iris and Claudia are in for an eye-opening senior year.Smart, funny, and thoroughly, wonderfully flawed, Claudia navigates a world of intense friendships and tentative romance in this book about expanding your horizons, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and accepting―and loving―people for who they really are.

my blurb: girl with great support system meets other great people who you will also love. oh also, there is some World of Warcraft type of gaming mentioned a lot, as well as teen boy bands and Shakespeare.5 out of 5I looooooved this book!  Just to be clear, I do own an Emma Mills book on my book shelf and have read it approximately 5 times. So I was going into this hoping for the best but nervous for disappointment.  I also read Foolish Hearts in less than 12 hours- and that includes sleeping time.  Yes that's right, I read late into the night, woke up, then went to the gym and read the rest of the book on the bike.  I would've read it on the treadmill but was very apprehensive about becoming a youtube sensation when I would inevitably fall to my doom. There is so much to love about this book.  The main characters POV is strong. She is sarcastic and funny and kind and embarrassing.  Everything we love in a protagonist. Her love interest is great, her family is great, her best friend is great.  Did I mention that I loved this book? The biggest criticism I could offer is that there might be too many characters.  There were quite a few girls at her school who weren't memorable enough to me for me to track them popping in and out throughout the novel.  But that didn't detract too much from the story line for me.No spoilers in this review because this book JUST came out.  So go read it!For fans of: First & Then, The Truth About Forever, The Fill-in Boyfriend.Favorite quote from the book: (this is randomly selected because I LOVED so many scenes in this book to choose just one!)"Did you, like, read a book on gaming?" I say."I read the Internet. It told me all about it.""You read the entire Internet?""Yup.  I also learned a lot about Communism and sleight of hand magic."Happy Reading!.Dux.
