Super cute love stories interwoven through this one again. I’m just constantly rooting for the couples!

We get a lot more of the captain in this one and he is such amazing comedic relief, he’s so easy to root for! Marissa Meyer sure can write some male leads!

I remembered a little more of this book than I did the others in my reread so far.

Something I didn’t love about the character of Cress as much was how often she cried and felt hopeless. This won’t bother everyone but it got old to me- I wanted her to somehow turn into a badass fighter. Alas maybe she will evolve to be a bit more cut throat in the next installment of the Lunar Chronicles. But I would imagine that her innocence is supposed to be endearing and therefore will be enduring.

Again, read this one on audio this go around and would recommend it!
