Thank you Rachel, for the advanced readers copy of this book!

let’s start by saying- this is a low steam romcom. I actually went back through to make sure I didn’t miss the steam somehow, because I was reading this late into the night, and I didn’t. It’s a VERY mild steam - there is some content but not descriptions. If you only read 🔥🔥 steam books- this one is for you!
If you liked Made in Manhattan and The Unhoneymooners, you’ll like this one as well!

I really enjoyed the wit in this book! I smiled a lot (I’m looking at you, “she buys me chocolate when she misses me.” … I mean that line! SWOON!). I do think this is one of Grey’s funniest books! The heroine is a bit neurotic, which I think I expected to be toned down in the end - but the heroine stays true to herself to the end!

Where the story fell flat a bit for me, was when the couple does get together. I needed some better communication from them at that point. I still easily read it in a day, and enjoyed it a lot- but it did fall flat for me here.

3.5 out of 5 stars
2.5 out of 5 steam

Overall this book was a big 👍🏾 for me! I have been in quite the slump and this was the first book I’ve finished in a while! it seemed like she could’ve been setting up a secondary character for a book! But as an avid reader of hers I’m still hoping for a book from a certain brother from To Have and To Hate!! PLEASE RACHEL, DON’T LEAVE ME WANTING!! ok I’ll stop yelling now. Go read this book, or check out the myriad of other RS grey books that I’ve loved! (Some have made My required reading list!)

Happy reading!

xoxo
