brighter than the sun by julia quinn

Wow I should’ve stopped reading this around 40%
But I had insomnia and I figured, well- I’m not super invested in this, so maybe it will help me fall asleep!

It did not help me fall asleep.

The big issue I had with this book is the anger the two characters would have with each other. I’m talking super high levels of frusturation- only to be totally lost with each other in a kiss. *eye roll… It is most definitely supposed to be an enemies to lovers book. But I’ve got news for fans of this trope (aka me), it’s a very hard trope to pull off!

There was also a storyline regarding sabotage that was so incredibly obvious- it was painful to read. Can we talk about how NO ONE believed the heroines story until the culprit revealed the truth. No thank you.
