Wow. I feel very passionate about stating that Abby owes me $2.20 because today was a two nespresso pod morning. Why you ask? Well because I started this book at 930 pm last night and proceeded to read all 416 pages in one sitting.

So it will not shock you to see that this made MY required reading list for romance lovers.

I LOVED Briana and Jacob. Like… loved them. This is 100% of a rereader for me - and a lot of that was because I liked Briana so much. I feel like I haven’t read a heroine in a long time who I felt like I would totally be friends with irl. Does that mean Abby and I would be friends? Well obviously we’re on a first named basis, so… (Fine, she doesn’t know we’re on a first named basis. Stop calling me out on things that are true!)

There are a million things I would like to say about this book but the biggest compliment I could give it is that it’s the miscommunication trope done WELL. And I hate a miscommunication trope. The alternating perspective for chapters helped a lot too. Ugh, I just loved it.

Of note: This book releases in April 2023.
Content warnings include: a LOT about a main character with anxiety. (I can identify with this a lot and sometimes can’t read books with this aspect because it’s too stressful. I felt this way at first but quickly settled into it and ended up feeling like I’d be friends with Jacob so much irl as well).
Abby lists the content warnings to include: Chronic kidney disease, divorced main character whose ex husband cheated, depression, clinical anxiety, and mention of pregnancy loss and suicide.

5 out of 5 stars
2.5-3 out of 5 steam

*I would probably lean towards a two steam but I know some people would consider it a three. It’s really only one scene of steam that could be skipped easily.
